Abstract

Introduction: the treatment for diastema closure fundamentally is focused it to give aesthetic and periodontal health. The diastema can be treats with prosthesis and orthodontics, however, this options generally required of preparations of health tissue, includes laboratory procedures and increase the clinical time. The employed of composites is an esthetic and functional option for this cases, which minimally or none intervention is required over the health tissue.

Objective: to describe one case of central maxillary diastema closure using hybrid composite.

Case presentation: 21 year old female patient comes to consultation to treats a central superior diastema. A closure of diastema using hybrid composite was proposed her. Patients accept it later of sign and apply informed concern. It made resolution of diastema with incremental technique with hybrid composite until achieve contact point caring periodontal health.

Conclusion: in the present case, steps of direct restoration technique with increases of hybrid composite, were follows adequately, resulting in diastema closure and restoration of contact point without force the interdental gum. It’s planning the treatment, the surfaces to treat were polishing, system adhesives were apply, it’s apply frames of hybrid composites until obtain desire result, getting better the esthetics with total satisfaction of patient.
