Abstract

Background: osteointegrated implants allow recover in a permanent and comfortable way all functions of the spoiled tooth.

Objective: demonstrating the benefits of carrying out orthodontic treatments previous to the placing of dental implants in edentulous patient.

Clinic case: patient of 21-years old that resorted to consultation of Implantology at the Dental Teaching Clinic “Dr. Ismael Clark and y Mascaró” of Camagüey, because of the absence of the central incisive and lateral right superior (11 and 12). The patient is integrally valued by a multi-disciplinary team, which outlined to close the space of the edentulous breach with orthodontic fixed and then in the same surgical work to put a Leader Nano implant. After eight months later the spoiled tooth was rehabilitated.

Conclusions: it was demonstrated the efficacy of the realization of orthodontic treatment previously to the placing of dental implant and just as the reestablishment of the aesthetic and psychological state of the patient
