Abstract

A study was performed in patients diagnosed with dentinal hyperesthesia, in which 3 types of treatment were applied, assigned according to table in random numbers: laser radiation, 0.2% sodium fluoride solution and combined laser treatment with solution of sodium fluoride. Helium-neon laser radiation was used with analgesic and biostimulant parameters. The results show the advantages of laser radiation in the treatment of this disease of the hard tissues of the tooth, which are even higher when this radiation is combined with the sodium fluoride solution.
