Abstract

A descriptive cross-sectional study of children of both sexes aged 6 to 7 years, from “26 de Julio” school, who went to the Provincial Dental Clinic with signs of “fear to the dentist” in the period from October 2005 to June 2006, was conducted. The universe of study was made up of 50 patients who presented with emotional impairment. Children and parents were surveyed to identify the type of fear and habit; then flower remedies combined with other flower scents were indicated to treat the diagnosed type of fear. The behavioral results in the clinic were evaluated at the 7th, 14th, 21st and 30th days of treatment. The final outcomes were shown in tables. Thirty eight children improved their behavior towards the dentist, accounting for 82% of the total number after 30 days of treatment. It was recommended to thoroughbly analyze the results of this study and to make a further therapeutical clinical assay.
