Abstract

A study was carried out on the importance of the dentist-patient relationship in terms of biological, psychological and social factors that link it. An analysis was made on the need of the Marxist-Leninist-oriented application of this concept in our society. A comparison was also made between dental care before the Revolution when dental practice was private and its present development since dental care is a priority task of our Ministry of Public Health and our revolutionary government as well. The work of health care workers, their tasks nationwide and their internationalist missions, cooperation and humanitarian assistance to other countries was also analyzed. It is stated that the decision of rendering medical assistance is linked to a comprehensive vision of the world, based on fundamental pillars such as humanism and medical ethics aimed at achieving excellence in the dentist-patient relationship.
