The repercussion of AIDS on the branch of Stomatology is briefly analyzed in this paper. Different oral manifestations presented by AIDS patients as well as the role played by the stomatologist in the diagnosis of these manifestations to reduce the transmission risk are described. The different measures that can be taken in Stomatology to control AIDS are explained in order to prevent the spreading of this disease among the stomatological personnel and the patients receiving attention at the dental clinic.
