Abstract
Type of research: bibliographic review. (Update themes). Objectives: To prepare an updated manual on medical-stomatological emergencies that can be presented in the dental office. Specify some clinical characteristics of the emergency conditions that can occur in the dental chair. Identify the urgent treatment to impose in the entities that occupy us. Know the therapeutic variants to apply to the diseases of urgency to treat. Methods: we reviewed the literature available in the Provincial Center of Information of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos, the National Medical Library, helped by the expedited cybernetic methods (MEDLINE, LILAC and Virtual Library of Infomed) and of the scientific information received as answers to personal requests practiced.
