Abstract

A study was conducted in the Maxillofacial Surgery Service of Artemisa in the years 1995-1996, based on the experience presented by different authors who have ventured into outpatient surgery and through our experience. It was supported by the family doctor of each patient. The effectiveness of this method was demonstrated in a total of 646 surgical interventions where varied conditions were operated with local and general anesthesia. All patients were discharged before 24 hours and only one type of complication was found in 1.8% of cases, which ensures a good future for this method, which we recommend to other surgeons.
